Saugat Mishra is a dedicated environmental journalist, researcher, and media professional with a profound commitment to tackling climate change and environmental challenges through the power of storytelling and research. His work lies at the dynamic intersection of media and climate action, where he excels in producing compelling narratives, impactful research, and meaningful advocacy.
With a strong foundation in journalism, Saugat has collaborated with some of the most esteemed media organizations, including Himalaya TV, News 24 Television, and Antenna Foundation Nepal. His expertise extends to working on diverse projects with international organizations such as UNDP, UKAID, USAID, WWF, WINROCK, HELVATAS, PSI, OSF, Amnesty International, JICA, Free Press Unlimited and many more.
Currently, he serves as the Editor at Jalbayu, Nepal’s leading environment-focused media platform, where he leads critical reporting and research to foster climate-conscious journalism.
Saugat holds dual Master’s Degrees—one in Journalism and Mass Communication and another in Political Science—equipping him with a multidisciplinary lens to explore the intricate connections between media, governance, and environmental sustainability. His scholarly contributions are widely recognized, with research articles published in respected journals focusing on media, climate change and environmental issues.
